Breakout Sessions |
Breakout sessions will form the core of the conference program. These sessions are 45 minutes in length. Topics that appeal to the broadest range of distance learning professionals will receive preference. Presentations should be designed to encourage interactivity and dialogue during the session; purely lecture presentations are discouraged.
Conference track topics include Faculty Training & Professional Development;
Management, Administration, and Student Support; Teaching and Learning–Online;
Teaching and Learning–Videoconferencing; Technology Used Everyday;
Instructional Design and Course Development; Research; and The Latest and Greatest. Proposals are accepted on topics including, but not limited to, those suggested in the track descriptions.

| Hands-On Sessions |
A limited number of 105-minute hands-on sessions will augment the program. These presentations will be held in a computer-based classroom setting and should provide participants with the opportunity to have a hands-on lesson in some aspect of distance learning.

| Educator Showcase |
An Educator Showcase is designed to allow distance education practitioners to demonstrate a variety of innovative, high quality distance education materials, courses, and implementations.
Two to four showcases will be set up at tables during other breakout sessions to allow attendees to browse multiple sessions at one time.

| Roundtable Discussions |
Roundtable Discussions are informal and are designed for small group discussions of specialized topics with one or more facilitators leading the discussion. A number of discussions run simultaneously, and conference participants may move between the various discussions at pre-determined times. Roundtable Discussions
are scheduled from 8:45 to 9:45 on Thursday morning, March 29,
2007.

| Vendor Showcase |
A limited number of 45 minute breakout sessions are available as a vendor track. This track is designed to provide a forum for vendors to demonstrate their products in a breakout session. Vendors are defined for this purpose as anyone from a for-profit organization with goods and/or services for sale.
