TxDLA

Texas Distance Learning Association
Annual Conference 2007

Hello,

Our hands-on session, Free Web Resources for Developing Interactive Learning Activities, will be based on a workshop guide that is a web site. The link to the guide is:

http://whissl.utmb.edu/WHISSL/tutorials/launch.asp?unit=94

Please note that you need to allow pop-ups from http://whissl.utmb.edu in order to see the guide.

No preparation is required prior to the hands-on session, but if you wish you can do the following to "get started" on the session:

  1. Review all sections of the guide.
  2. Select a topic about which you would like to design an interactive activity.
  3. During the session, we will want you to start developing an activity in your Course Management System (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, etc). So, please check if you will be able to access your Course Management System during the conference. We will provide access to an authoring tool if you cannot access your authoring tool of choice.
  4. Using some of the search tools mentioned in the guide (Under the PORTALS menu item), locate some possible resources to use in your activity.
Thanks.
