Galveston is home to more than a dozen historic museums and properties open to the public, miles of beaches, an aquarium and a rainforest enclosed in glass pyramids at Moody Gardens, three live theaters showcasing top talent in Broadway musicals and award-winning plays, and Galveston's art district which features local and national artists. And, during the week of March 24-27, 2008, the home of the TxDLA 2008 Conference which will be held at the Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa, and Conference Center.

Air Travel
Travel into Galveston area is served by Scholes International Airport at Galveston, William P. Hobby Airport in Houston, and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. We strongly recommended that you contact the airlines directly 24 hours prior to departure to confirm details or changes.
Ground Transportation
Ground transportation to Galveston is via I-45 from Houston, Highway 3005 from Freeport (toll bridge), or the Highway 87 ferry operating between Bolivar Peninsula and Galveston island.
