Andra Perrin Wins TxDLA Adventure Cruise Game

Many of our conference attendees played the TxDLA Adventure Cruise Game to learn more about our Partners and to have a chance to win a $200 Amazon.com Gift Certificate (though not necessarily in that order). About 50% of those who played got the correct answer to the final puzzle. 

Based on TxDLA's emphasis on collaboration and building a knowledge community, the secret phrase was "Nobody is as smart as everybody." This could be discovered by using the hint "x marks the spot" to choose the cipher wheel with an "x" in the center to substitute letters and decode the phrase. 

The names of all those who got the correct answer were alphabetized and then a winner was selected by visiting http://random.org/  and requesting a random integer within the range of the number of participants. 

The winner was announced at the end of the general session on Wednesday afternoon, but she was busy volunteering her time to TxDLA and couldn't be present to accept the prize personally. She has since been contacted and was ecstatic about the news. Congratulations to our winner, Andra Perrin from Northwest Independent School District!
