Call for Nominations -
2008-2009 TxDLA Officers
Submitted by Ken Rosier, Chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee
The Texas Distance Learning Association needs members like you to help implement our mission and goals! TxDLA leaders provide guidance, direction, and inspiration to achieve the association’s goals and empower others to realize their leadership potential. TxDLA has several leadership opportunities available that will begin service on July 1, 2008. Two officer positions, President-Elect and Secretary, and one Board Member-At-Large (2008-2011) position will be elected by the TxDLA membership.
Any member in good standing may be nominated for a leadership position. All TxDLA leaders are expected to be innovative in recruiting new members and in creating and maintaining membership services, be a mentor for new leaders, and be supportive of other Officers, Board Members and Committee Chairs.
Laurie Hogle, TxDLA President, said, "Serving in a leadership position in TxDLA is an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth. This can be one of the most rewarding experiences for anyone looking to improve their leadership and communication skills while expanding their network of distance learning colleagues."
All nominations for these leadership positions are due by midnight on Wednesday, November 28,
2007. To find more specific information about the leadership opportunities and/or to nominate yourself or a fellow TxDLA member, please visit
