TxDLA Fall 2007 Election Results  

After a record breaking voting turnout, the Texas Distance Learning Association Fall 2007 Election results are in and have been tabulated.  Ken Rosier, Nominations and Elections Chair and his committee have certified the results of our recent officer and at-large board member elections. Elected to the President-Elect, the Secretary, and the Member-At-Large board position are as follows:

Bob Barnes Photo Bob Barnes, Videoconference Network Manager at the Education Service Center Region 10 has been chosen by the membership to serve as President-Elect for 2008-2009. His primary responsibility will be to plan the 2009 conference in Corpus Christi. Bob will then serve as President of the association in 2009-2010. Bob currently serves as a TxDLA Board Member-at-Large, and has served on several committees including Membership. Most recently, Bob held the position of Technology Chair for both the 2006 and 2007 TxDLA Conferences.
Cindy Smith Photo Cindy Smith, Distance Education Trainer and Instructional Designer for Northeast Texas Consortium of Colleges & Universities (NETnet), has been elected to serve as Secretary for 2008-2010. Cindy has been instrumental in increasing membership in the Northeast Texas Regional Group, and been actively involved in several committees.

Dr. Kevin Lemoine, Senior Program Director in the Division of Academic Affairs and Research at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has been elected by the membership to fill the 2008-2011 Board Member-At-Large seat. Kevin has experience as a K-12 teacher, university teacher and administrator, and in state-wide policy development at the Coordinating Board. Kevin has served on several TxDLA committees including Public Policy.
