TxDLA is structured to serve its members from a one to many approach that is achieved through members' strong commitments to leadership in many different areas that affect the growth of distance learning throughout the state and beyond.
The association has subdivided the state into regional groups for professionals in the field to keep current with the activities of colleagues closer to home with meetings several times a year.
TxDLA is operated through the volunteer efforts of leaders who serve as its officers, Board of Directors, standing committee chairs and members, and some occasional ad hoc committees who are asked to address unique issues that will determine new direction in the growth of the organization and distance learning.
