• Educational Leadership: Our Digital Accessibility Certificate Program has trained hundreds of professionals in creating inclusive digital learning experiences, establishing TxDLA as a recognized leader in accessibility education.
• Event Accessibility: We prioritize accessibility in all our conferences, workshops, and webinars, ensuring equal participation for all attendees through accommodations, accessible presentation formats, and inclusive design practices.
• Content Standards: Our publications, resources, and member communications are developed with accessibility as a core requirement, not an afterthought.
• Internal Practices: We provide ongoing accessibility training to staff and volunteers and are working to integrate accessibility considerations into our procurement practices. While some of our existing platforms have known accessibility limitations, we actively evaluate accessibility when selecting new tools and services.
• Community Influence: Through our programs and advocacy, we help digital learning professionals across Texas implement accessibility best practices in their own institutions and organizations.

Conformance status

• What we’re doing: We provide accessibility guidelines and resources to all contributors, offer training through our Digital Accessibility Certificate Program, and actively encourage accessible content creation. We review submitted materials when possible and provide feedback to help contributors improve accessibility.
• What to do: If you encounter inaccessible user-generated content, please let us know. We will work with the content creator to improve accessibility or provide you with an alternative accessible version.

4. Archived Event Recordings

• Issue: Some older recorded webinars and conference sessions may lack captions or transcripts.
• Why it occurs: These recordings were created before our current captioning requirements were established.
• What we’re doing: We are working to retroactively add captions to our most valuable and frequently accessed archived content. All new recordings include captions from the point of creation.
• What to do: If you need captions or a transcript for a specific recording, contact us and we will prioritize adding them or provide a written summary of the content.
