Distance learning activity in the Corporate/Private sector is at an all-time high with emphasis on continuing education and wellness for the workforce. Corporations are making investments in Learning Management Systems, Videoconferencing/Telepresence solutions and Video Content Management Systems to address these needs. Many opportunities exist today for cross-pollination between organizations like TxDLA and our members to assist organizations in the corporate and private sector with this vital mission.

Simon has recently started his own company, Excession Events, and he has published his first book, “The End of Certainty” (http://www.excessionevents.com/).While this book is not really about Distance Learning or Online Learning, it is valuable information and it is packed with useful analogies and stories that will help you relate to Simon’s message which is identifying Excession Events.I've read as many business books as I can find time for and this particular book has had a profound impact on my general outlook.
